After watching the game again, I think one of the biggest reasons we kept allowing points and long drives to them in the second half was our dominant DT play against their sub-par OL. Monty and Russell were getting penetration almost every play. Even Devaroe and Maurice did a solid job getting push and pressure.
The issue is that usually this would bode well for us against any average QB with decent or below average speed. However we were practically forcing Lamar to roll out the pocket instead of settle inside and make mistakes throwing the ball and make plays through the air.
A lot of his rushes were not called. They were broken down plays where he had nothing else to do. If our DTs just stayed at home in gaps I don't think they would've been able to score so much.
