An interesting read on Sean White in the media guide.

I read a section on Sean White in the media guide which might be revealing. It reads: " Not a tall or fast quarterback, White has a strong arm and the ability to consistently throw passes on target. Based upon his play in spring training, he should be ready to run the offense with limitations if Jeremey Johnson is injured."
What makes this even more puzzling IF these coaches continue to call plays which limits Johnson's opportunity to run the ball as in the read option, it's obvious that Sean would be the better call as it relates to a successful passing attack, particularly if JJ's passing game continues to struggle. If JJ had lived up to expectations, then this assessment of Sean might have be relevant but since he hasn't, it just doesn't jive. Seems to me that these coaches have put all their eggs in one basket and are too stubborn to admit failure and because of that, will just stay with their plan and be hopeful that JJ can finally "get it." The question remains at what point in this disaster will wither Gus or Lashlee reach the decision that they have to make a change and give Sean a shot and will they waste half the season waiting to make a decision. They seem unable or unwilling to make a decision on the starting RB despite the fact that right now, Barber is the superior back which is also puzzling. Just an interesting situation and kind of depressing.
