Just watched the 4 hour documentary on Netflix.
Watched season 3 of House of Cards earlier this week
SPOILER ALERT for HoC
Season 3 and JFK's time in Office from 61-62 seems very similar
1. Both had Scandals, wives knew and accepted itt
2. Both had failed covert missions against russia
3. Both had Civil rights movements going on
4. Both hated their Vice presidents
5. JFKs boat in WW2 was shot and JFK had to swim a very long distance to an island, Underwood had a story about swimming and getting rescued
6. Both had meetings/conversations with the Russian leaders and couldnt accomplish anything
7. Both had troubles with foreign policy in early years in office
8. Both had a right hand man that did the dirty work (JFKs brother/Underwoods trusted assistant)
Ive noticed WAY more stuff but I cant think of it off the top of my head, I wonder if they are trying to use older presidents
JFK was young, and very similar to FDR with his and immobility, and was always on major meds (like Michael Jackson)
Underwood did some dirty shit to get into office including murder
Im not trying to say JFK and Underwood are anything similar to each other..just seems cool they have a similarities
Earned a lot of respect for JFK for not letting the Southern US get nuked, I probably wouldnt be here today
