The Alabama A & M fans at the game on Saturday were some of the nicest fans I have chatted with at a home game.
I would rather schedule Alabama A & M and Alabama State than the directional schools from Louisiana when we play outside the SEC.
A & M brought more fans than some of the SEC schools have been bringing. Great band. Plus, we help support the HBCUs in State in Alabama.
One of their fans sat beside us. He played under Pat Dye and was buddies with Bo, Lionel, etc. Said he transferred to and graduated from A & M. Nice, nice guy who played high school ball in Montgomery.
He laughed and said Bo never had to know any of the actual plays. Said Coach Dye would just say the play was "hand it to Bo left" or "hand it to Bo right".
