I've studied this bizarre issue with our RB's, and by study I mean thought about it for a few minutes and think it boils down to something really simple. The staff does not feel Barber is a home run threat on any given play, they do feel that way with KJ and RT, much like Omac. PB started because they didn't foresee us being down so many points so fast, and in order to come back and be competitive they needed several scores fast, with JJ struggling the passing game can't help so it leaves your rushing attack.

Also, with PB more of a grinder I don't think they thought we could sustain a 13 play type drive and score without some chunk plays. I guess they felt like RT and KJ are more apt to get a big gainer then PB who grinds out 4-6 yards.

It once again boils down to the QB play and with no passing game you need chunk plays to score consistently, and they must feel the speed backs are the best option.

Just a thought
