  • TJ Dunans went through a pretty rigorous workout prior to practice. He has a brace on his repaired left knee, but it's not particularly big or bulky. He wasn't shooting particularly well, but he was moving well. He seems close-ish to being ready.
  • He's not participating in this Ole Miss walk-through, so he's not that ready.
  • Dunans said he's "about 70 percent" in terms of how good he feels. Said his left quadriceps gets sore during the workouts. He seems undecided about his availability this season. I asked him if he'd play if the doctors cleared him. He said he hasn't decided.
  • Tray Reed is working with the scout team. He's out here. Purifoy also is on the scout team.
  • Bryce Brown said he thinks the difference last night was confidence. Shooting confidence. Knowing that they could go out there and make good things happen.
  • Two coaches told me they were blown away by how many "winning plays" Jordon Granger made last night. Hustle plays, key passes, stuff like that.
  • T.J. Lang said he was focusing more on being a spot-up shooter early in the year, but he's now trying to get into slasher mode because of injuries and attrition. He shot very well last night (6-of-7 overall with 17 points) but also was proud of how active he was on defense and, to a lesser degree, on the scoring end.
