I mentioned Arkansas' Barry Odom not longer after Freeze was hired. He's a close friend of Freeze's and is well-respected for his defensive acumen.
Two other guys are worth your attention.
One is Chris Kiffin, who currently serves as the Cleveland Browns' DL coach. Yes, he's Lane Kiffin's kid bro. He also worked under Freeze at Arkansas State and at Ole Miss, where he served as a DL coach and as a defensive recruiting coordinator.
Travaris Robinson also is getting a serious look. The former Auburn WR and S, who saved Auburn from an embarrassing loss against App State in 1999, currently serves as the secondary coach at Alabama. He was Will Muschamp's DC at South Carolina ... and later worked at Miami, Fla., before moving up to Alabama last winter. You may know him as "T-Rob."
