I am here inside Rupp Arena today (visiting my father-in-law in Louisville) and I have a few things to pass along.

• A lot of optimism in general about Danjel Purifoy's status. The initial diagnosis was four-ish weeks, but he's already done some really light work in a basketball shoe. So the thought now is that he could return for Alabama next weekend or, worse-case, for the trip to South Carolina.

• Pearl has decided to stick with Anfernee McLemore at the 5. So it'll be Wiley-McLemore-Spencer at 5; Smith-Lang-Waddell at 4.
