The decision to burn a timeout and go for it on 4th and 2 from midfield in the 1Q was atrocious. Auburn had not run the ball well enough to go on 4th at that point. It set Cal up to score based on field position a drive or two later and the timeout potentially cost us points before halftime. The fan focus is on poor QB play, but that poor decisionmaking sets you up to lose games.
