Hank Brown seems like he can handle it. Made several good throws, only 3 bad ones I saw. Hard to tell how he will do against an actual pass rush. I watched the Cal game and I actually feel that their style/experience will be a top 3 defense we see all year (UGA, Bama).

Alston needs more reps. Hunter picked up some keep blocks in pass pro, but Alston looked like he was going to break on several runs. I will excuse the fumble considering the weather and the fact the LB got his helmet right on the ball. Good play for that guy.

WR are getting open and making catches. Actually seem deep at that position. Wish Perry didn't have that drop, and I wish Simmons got more reps. Can he return punts?

Style of defense is not making any sense to me. I guess having 3 DL for a very mobile QB prevents the big rush scramble, but so does a 6 man blitz with man cover that gives the QB way less time and forces errors. The 2nd half of the Cal game was a master class of what our defense should be doing for 75% of the game. It helps for what is our next problem

Young DBs are just getting schooled and playing timid. We lose leverage, we don't play good angles, we don't look for the ball. We give up so much separation that we can't make plays on the ball. When we blitz, they are tighter and know the ball has to come out soon. Way too many issues. Need to grow up fast.

Missed tackles last night was very concerning. Maybe it was the weather, but if we can't get off the field next week, we gonna give up 30+.

I do hope Hew gets the game plan up for this one like he did in the UGA, Bama, and Arky games last year
