UW FIRST POSSESSION:
Nothing doing. 3rd-down screen was sniffed out big time. 3 plays, 0 yards.

AU FIRST POSSESSION:
First play is a screen from Stid to Ryan Davis (13 yards). Another screen Stid to Martin (8 yards) gets Auburn to the 13. Not accentuating run at this stage.

TOUCHDOWN — Stidham to Salvatore Cannella, 10 yards.

6 plays, 36 yards, 2:12

Auburn went for two and failed. Odd.

Auburn 6, Washington 0

UW SECOND POSSESSION:
INT by Jamel Dean of all people! The pick was prefaced by Mon Atkinson pressuring off the edge, flushing Jake Browning to his left and eliciting a very poor pass. That allowed Dean to read the play with his eyes and secure the pick uncontested. Pressure was coming from the backside as well, FWIW. Quarterback was FUBAR.

AU SECOND POSSESSION:
FIELD GOAL.
Solid drive. Big play was a SLANT (yes, you read that correctly) from Stid to Nate Craig-Myers. Went for 24 yards on 3rd-and-6. Cool play called on 3rd-and-5 from the 14 — trips right with crossers underneath and Seth Williams sitting just under the safety — but Stid was forced to roll away from the trips. Almost hit Darius Slayton for what would have been a diving TD catch. Ball popped out.

11 plays, 49 yards, 4:03

Auburn 9, Washington 0

UW THIRD POSSESSION:
FIELD GOAL.
The Huskies landed a big pass against Javaris Davis. The throw was a bit short, but JD didn't adjust well to it at all. Play went for 38 yards to the AU 14. That was enough to get UW into kicking range. Nice pressure from Andrew Williams to wreck the final 3rd-down play.

Auburn 9, Washington 3

AU THIRD POSSESSION:
MISSED FIELD GOAL. More good stuff from the passing game — consecutive plays of 18, 16 and 18 yards to flip field position. Sal Cannella couldn't pull in an important pass on the final 3rd down. TV replay looked like the pass was defended well, but still. Carlson missed a short field goal to ruin an otherwise solid drive.

UW FOURTH POSSESSION:
PUNT. Not much going on. Dinson made a terrific play on 3rd down to defend a dig route. Knocked it away.

AU FOURTH POSSESSION:
FIELD GOAL. Kam Martin finally broke out with a few decent runs. He had a 19-yard scamper on a 4th-and-1 to get to the UW 24. Play-calling after that was not great. A drag intended for the RB was defended well and forced Stidham to scramble. A 3rd-down pass went to Ryan Davis, who was well-defended, and probably would have been better served going wider to Cannella. Auburn is not running the ball well in general. This is a bit concerning, but it's not a deal-breaker right now.

Auburn 12, Washington 3.

UW FIFTH POSSESSION:
FIELD GOAL.
A couple things happening here. So you have the 42-yard pass against Javaris Davis, who fell on his left shoulder and messed it up. He's out of the game and Jordyn Peters is playing nickel. Also, Don Russell had two sacks/TFLs during that drive. That's a lot for him. Allowing a 22-yard gain on a simple inside run, man, that's going to make Kevin Steele very angry.

Auburn 12, Washington 6

AU FIFTH POSSESSION:
FIELD GOAL.
The kick was from 53 yards. Wow. Auburn still isn't running the ball very well, especially on first down. We did see Shaun Shivers, who got a carry, and Anthony Schwartz. Stidham fumbled twice on that drive, though one was nullified by a penalty. Best play was a nifty scramble by Stidham for 18 yards. The rest of that drive was meh.

Auburn 15, Washington 6

UW SIXTH POSSESSION:
TOUCHDOWN.
They made quick work of that drive. The coup de grace was a long touchdown pass against Jamel Dean, who didn't adjust well while the ball was in the air.

4 plays, 75 yards in 40 seconds.

Auburn 15, Washington 13

AU SIXTH POSSESSION:
Time ran out. Auburn playing for the initial possession of the second half.

EXPLOSIVE PLAYS:
PASS — Stid-NCM, 24 yards
PASS — Stid-Seth Williams, 18 yards
PASS — Stid-R, Davis, 16 yards
PASS — Stid-Cox, 22 yards
PASS — Stid-Williams, 20 yards
RUN — K. Martin, 19 yards
RUN — Stidham, 18 yards
