remember NERDS ONLY here!
will post stuff i thought stood out to keep it shorter
AUBURN v sjsu stuff
best players from sjsu game
finley by far is #1
robby with a negative pass PPA is not good (means when he passes the ball, opponents are more likely to score than we are.....)
javarrius didnt touch the ball til 3rd quarter but was still our best player, gotta get him more touches
SHENKER had a massive 2nd quarter despite the idiotic penalties, gotta clean it up!!
not the best from tank this game BUT tbf he had another massive gain called back because of holding by shedrick or else he would be way higher
wanted to show this- auburn had 1 more "scoring opportunity" than sjsu (getting the ball inside the 40).
we're not doing a great job stopping opponents inside the 40 either, just very average
we are being somewhat efficient inside the 40 at least. one of the things i wanted to see out of this team was good redzone offense, so far we are executing well there
oline did well runblocking. 3.5 yards per rush and then 1.5 more when we hit the second level. gotta keep that stuff rate lower tho (a little over 1 out of 5 times we would go 0 or negative yards)
ok onto PENN ST
PENN ST v ohio
penn st did not do well stopping ohio inside the 40, soemthing to watch
also penn st is not good running the ball, stuffed 1 out of 3 times (thats rushes of 0 or negative yards, yikes). when they hit the 2nd level they are dangerous tho
very good defensive disruption from penn st
game was won in the 1st and 3rd quarters
very explosive plays this game, have to contain their passing game IMO
notice they are decent in standard downs (1st and 10, 2nd 7, 3rd and 4) and not great in passing downs (think 3rd and long)
best players this game = singleton (rb) (looks like he broke some big gains 1st and 3rd quarter than won the game) clifford the qb, and washington (wr)
PENN ST OVERALL
weaknesses:
- defense inside the 40
-rush defense at the line
-explosive passing plays
strengths:
-#1 DBs (they get turnovers and tfl)
-efficient offense within the (dont let them move the ball easily)
-limit explosive rushing plays
-they win the field position game
will post other stuff later, hope yall like this stuff
