For Ukraine. It was thought of as a vital region that could feed an entire empire while Ukrainians starve and since 2014 it can also fuel one. Europe could be powered by Ukrainian fuel and gas for 1000 years without a drop from Russia. That is a major reason for this invasion. Why haven’t they already started drilling? They don’t have the infrastructure…… they will after all this.
