@FeverFans: Big Tilt tonight against the Seattle Storm

Haters and non-WNBA fans please stay out.

Matchup:
The Storm is 1-3. They have a couple players that can shoot. They have strong rebounders. Their weakness is that their bigs play a foot under the rim.

The Fever is 0-4. They have a super star in Clayton Clarkson. Their weakness is that they have the WORST coach in the league and a buncha ball hogs that don't want the clarkson gal to score.

What to watch:
Will Catlin Clarks abide by the "Calin Clark Rule"? What's the rule? It's the rule implemented by her coach that obviously hates charter planes and dealing with stars.

"I gave her a rule the other day. She's got 0.5 seconds to make a decision... She has a habit of hanging out and dancing. That's what she's done. It's those habits that we've got to break," Sides said after the Fever's second regular-season game.

Prediction:
Ball hogs gonna ball hog. Moron coach gonna moron. Clarkson not gonna get her 30 shots.

Best Feeling

Just set the work email to automatic reply, and changed the work phone voicemail, and don’t have to deal with that shit until June.

I enjoy what I do but dealing with folks that are struggling, speaking with those who have lost loved ones to overdose and even just being out in the community all the time being positive & engaging will wear a man out.

Taking little man to the beach for the first time ever next week.

Where does college football go from here?

The ACC is going to break up but it’s a matter of when. Miami, fsu, Clemson, etc can’t hit 22 million for football every season with their college football compensation from TV, playoffs, etc imo. So big ten and sec split up notre dame and 6-8 ACC teams? No teams in the big 12 is worth getting and those teams can’t get to 22 million to pay football players. So if I’m sec and big ten, I’m doing 14-16 team playoff and taking 10-12 auto bids and 80% of the money at least or break off into one conference and have their own playoffs.

Best case scenario: ACC stays together due to courts enforcing exit fees for Clemson, fsu, etc. Keep their football teams poor.

FBI internal memos show told to 'stand down' and protestors described as:

FBI memo describes the J6 protestors as " The only people from the group who are continuing to DC are non-subjects, who are not carrying weapons, and appear to be solely involved in legal First Amendment protesting,” "

And yes, some protestors were carrying guns - AND got lighter sentances than the peaceful protestors - how cool is that?

DOJ suing Live Nation

The Justice Department is suing ticket giant Live Nation, the parent company of Ticketmaster because of what they call “monopolistic control” of the event ticket market, which has driven up ticket prices over the years.

I usually am against the federal government meddling with legitimate businesses, but if something can be done to bring down concert ticket prices I’m all for it. It’s all the damn fees they add that are my issue. Lately the additional fees are as much as the actual ticket prices.

Something BMatt said

In a recent Bryan Matthews column, he mentioned Auburn's relative, long-term paucity of five-star signees in positions beyond the defensive line. It's a salient observation and there's a reason it exists. Mainly because Auburn's modern football legacy was revamped by a head coach who believed in building his stalwart defenses from the trenches outward.

Pat Dye went hard after kids who could dominate up front. It started early in his regime but maybe reached its apex in his squads of the late 1980s. Auburn often enjoyed a DL rotation as good as any squad in the nation, with second-stringers who could have started on most other teams. The team featured below was the first of what were likely Dye's best two defenses during his Auburn era. It is obvious when watching the footage how much of it was built around the Tigers' ability to control the line of scrimmage with just four men. Paired with a group of head-hunting ballhawks in the secondary and it adds to a huge headache for opponents.
