Hypothetical: Muschamp

Assume all else is equal, Mack Brown has same record next three years he had after Boom went to UF and is still pushed out. With Boom HCIW, does he have more success than Brown’s successor? And does Muschamp have an overall more successful head coaching career?

I, for one, think he could have been a successful head coach in conferences other than SEC, but that always seemed where his heart wanted to be.

OT: Seeking donations to provide scholarships for tutoring services for 30 children

Hi Bunk! Raising funds to help some parents with tutoring services. Obviously I wish I could offer it for free, but I can’t. Especially in today’s economy.

I’ve owned The Tutoring Center of Powder Springs, GA or roughly six years and I’m opening a second location in Acworth, GA, very soon.

Before the pandemic we were assisting about 84 students. Of course I lost almost everyone during the pandemic. Since then, there have been surges of need, however parents have not been able to afford it. I’ve had to increase pay, expenses are up, yet I’ve kept prices about the same. The reality has always been that some were going to struggle to afford the tuition.

But since many kids just couldn’t learn, virtually, the issue is compounded, especially with blue collar parents, who couldn’t work from home.

This is why I’m making this effort. The schools have programs, but they’re ineffective and don’t provide long term solutions. Our program helps with the material, focus/concentration and helps get students caught up from a foundational perspective.

If you can help, it will be greatly appreciated.

7.2M illegals entered the US under Biden admin, an amount greater than population of 36 states

That figure comes from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which has already reported 961,537 border encounters in the current fiscal year, which runs from October through September. If the current pace of illegal immigration does not slow down, fiscal year 2024 will break last year's record of 2,475,669 southwest border encounters — a number that by itself exceeds the population of New Mexico, a border state.

The total number of southwest land border encounters since Biden assumed office in 2021 is 7,298,486, CBP data shows.

That is larger than the population of 36 U.S. states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

If you take out a loan, you should have to repay it...

Unless you're Clarence Thomas and your SCOTUS vote is for sale.

Clarence Thomas ruled against student debt relief. Now a Senate panel alleges his healthcare exec pal forgave his $267,230 loan.

  • A Senate committee found that Clarence Thomas had a substantial loan forgiven by a wealthy friend in 2008.
  • Thomas' friend, healthcare exec Anthony Welters, loaned him over $260,000 that Thomas used to purchase a luxury RV.
  • The findings came four months after Thomas joined a majority Supreme Court opinion striking down Biden's student debt forgiveness plan.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas ruled this year that Joe Biden was wrong when he tried to forgive college students' loans, but a Senate panel revealed that Thomas had a substantial loan of his own forgiven by a wealthy friend.

Thomas joined a majority opinion in June that struck down the White House's student debt relief plan and found Biden overstepped his authority.

Just two months later — as ethics questions swirled around the conservative justice over his cozy relationship with rich friends — the New York Times reported that Anthony Welters, a healthcare executive who is a close friend of Thomas', loaned the justice money in 1999 and that Thomas used it to purchase a luxury RV that cost $267,230.

And this week the Democrat-run Senate Finance Committee revealed that while Thomas made interest payments on the $267,230 loan, but never repaid a "substantial portion" of it.

Anyone ever receive someone else's Doordash order.....with some interesting contents?

This past Sunday we had a pizza and salad delivered from DoorDash. When the driver arrived, he handed me a grocery bag and said, "That's the second half of your order." I was opening the bag when I told the driver I had not ordered anything from the store on the bag. Of course I opened it anyway and stared at 2 boxes of a dozen condoms.

I told the driver they weren't mine and he said, "oh yeah sorry, they are for the guys down the street." 24 rubbers on a Sunday night? NTTIATWWT

BTW - Pizza and salad were good.

Anyone else have a strange doordash/grubhub experience?
