Going into this week Underwood’s standing NIL deal with LSU was $4 million at $1 million per year for 4 years…..Michigan’s standing offer was $10 million at $2.5 million per year for four years…
Within hours (maybe 2 hours) on Thursday Michigan offered its best and final offer of $12 million at $3 million a year for four years….LSU came back with its best and final offer as quickly as they could….at $6 million a year at $1.5 million per year for four years.
The current highest paid NIL player on the LSU roster is their NFL ready left tackle at $500, 000 this year.
Whether you like it or not (I don’t) but we are not in name, image, and likeness territory any more….it’s 100% pay for play.
